As Creative Director, Niki wears many hats—overseeing accounts receivable and payable, guiding customer consultations, spearheading business development, and championing community initiatives. Her ability to seamlessly merge artistic vision with strategic execution ensures that Samurai Hardwood Flooring consistently delivers exceptional results, while fostering meaningful relationships with clients and partners.

Niki’s passion for connection extends beyond the business. Under her leadership, Samurai has become not just a provider of high-quality flooring solutions, but a valued part of the local community. Her dedication to creating beautiful spaces and lasting bonds makes her an essential part of the Samurai story.

Bre Turner is the backbone of Samurai Hardwood Flooring’s project success. As our dedicated Project Manager, she excels at creating a seamless experience for clients and the team alike, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and care.

Hailing from Australia, Bre moved to Nelson drawn by the area’s legendary powder days and the vibrant mountain lifestyle. Her adventurous spirit and natural drive have made her an indispensable part of the Samurai team. Known for her exceptional organizational skills, Bre ensures that schedules, timelines, and project details are always on point.

Bre’s customer service is second to none. She takes the time to truly understand each client’s needs, ensuring they feel supported and confident throughout every stage of their project. Her ability to balance the demands of multiple projects while maintaining clear communication between clients and the team is a testament to her expertise and dedication.

Recognized as one of the NWFA's 40 Under 40, Bre is not just a leader in her field but also a community-minded individual who brings her passion and energy to everything she does. Outside of work, Bre is an avid fitness enthusiast who trains regularly with Frontier Athletics. Last year, she completed the Spartan Race alongside Niki Wood and is already preparing for this year’s challenge.

Mark Randell has been a cornerstone of Samurai Hardwood Flooring since its inception. Working alongside Sunny from the very beginning, Mark has played a pivotal role in shaping the exceptional quality and reputation that define Samurai today.

With over 20 years in the carpentry industry, Mark’s expertise and attention to detail set the standard for our team. As the Head of Carpentry, he leads the way in creating stunning custom stairs, and intricate woodwork that transform spaces into works of art.

Mark’s dedication to his craft and his long-standing partnership with Samurai make him an invaluable part of our team. When he’s not crafting exceptional carpentry, you might find Mark hiking with his dogs.

Ron Johnston, originally a skilled cabinet maker, is the heart and soul of Samurai Hardwood Flooring. With decades of experience in fine craftsmanship, Ron’s attention to detail and unwavering dedication set the standard for quality in every project.

As our Head of Millwork, Ron oversees the creation of custom pieces that blend functionality with artistry. His expertise in precision and design ensures that every element, from intricate trim to bespoke features, exceeds expectations and reflects Samurai’s passion for excellence.

Ron has been an integral part of the Samurai story, bringing his vision and skill to life in ways that leave a lasting impression. Outside of work, Ron enjoys spending time with his family and hiking. His commitment to his craft and the community make him an invaluable part of the Samurai team.

Kory is the expert behind Samurai Hardwood Flooring’s renowned refinishing services. As a Bona Certified Professional, he brings industry-leading knowledge and skill to restoring and enhancing the beauty of wood flooring.

Raised in Nelson, Kory has a deep connection to the community and an appreciation for the craftsmanship and care that define Samurai’s work. After spending time in Calgary honing his skills, Kory returned to Nelson five years ago, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Under Kory’s leadership, our refinishing services have set the bar for quality, ensuring every project reflects Samurai’s high standards and the timeless elegance of wood.

When Kory isn’t perfecting floors, he loves spending summer days at Kootenay Lake, working on woodworking projects, and spending time with his beloved animals. His expertise, dedication, and genuine love for his craft are at the heart of what makes Samurai Hardwood Flooring truly exceptional.

Malacai Anderson is a skilled Bona Certified Refinisher who works alongside Kory to deliver Samurai Hardwood Flooring’s exceptional refinishing services. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship, Malacai helps bring out the natural beauty and durability of every floor he works on.

Beyond his work, Malacai’s life is filled with creativity and connection. He loves spending time with his dog, Thorn, and enjoys playing music with friends, bringing the same energy and rhythm to his personal life as he does to his work.
